Supporting Teachers and the Community

In the fall of 2026 we will be accepting more donations and looking for clean, safe, and interesting donations that will support our teachers and community. Unless otherwise noted, all items are accepted in new or gently used condition. See below Accepted Donation Guidelines for more information.

Gretchen's House Foundation Thrift Store (GHFTS)

Your new community thrift store and Educator Resource Center is coming soon to 5741 Jackson Road in Ann Arbor. GHFTS is a community run space offering affordable, high‑quality resale items for everyone, plus a dedicated Educator Membership section filled with classroom essentials for teachers.

Every purchase supports Gretchen’s House Foundation’s mission to advance high‑quality early education across Washtenaw County and beyond. Store proceeds fund our Teacher Grants, Family Grants, Quality Environments Grants, and the Teacher Exchange Program.

How to get involved:

Volunteer with us, donate goods or make a charitable gift, and shop sustainably once we open in mid to late 2026. Every action helps support educators, families, and quality learning environments.

We can’t wait to welcome you to GHFTS soon.
