Family Grant Program
Provide financial and professional support for families of young children who fall outside of federal or state eligibility guidelines.
Many federal and state funding and social support programs are simply inadequate to support many families because of specific guidelines that exclude some of those in need. Gretchen’s House Foundation’s Family Support Grant Program is designed to identify gaps in government programs and provide funds and other resources for those families that otherwise would not be able to access or afford high quality childcare or other necessary family support services.
Teacher Grant Program
Provide accessible and affordable training and other resources for early childhood education professionals.
Gretchen’s House Foundation uses a multi-pronged effort to increase the quality and grow the ranks of highly trained teachers of young children. The Teacher Grant Program will enable teachers to remain in their profession and encourage more individuals to join the early childhood teaching workforce while meeting their own family needs. Gretchen’s House Foundation works with private childcare providers and local colleges and universities to support teachers in their pursuit of additional education, training and certifications while working. This program includes support for teachers to visit other childcare centers to receive or provide additional direct training or mentoring.
Quality Environments Grant
Help childcare providers improve the quality of their early childhood education environment.
Learning environments are crucial to early childhood education. Achieving high quality in specific elements of environments (upgrades to buildings, playgrounds, toys, materials, etc.) can be prohibitively expensive. Gretchen’s House Foundation provides funding and resources to childcare providers for achieving high ratings for quality learning environments. Gretchen’s House Foundation’s Quality Environments Grant Program aims to raise the standards of early childhood education for all children.
